What We Build
RONNIE equipment lives in three primary environments. Each has its own design language, operational constraints, and member expectations. Here is how we approach each one.
Hotel Gym Installations
Hotel gyms are different from any other fitness facility. Guests arrive jet-lagged, often at odd hours, with limited time and no interest in figuring out complicated equipment. The space is typically compact — a converted conference room or a repurposed corridor — yet it must serve everyone from a marathon runner needing a treadmill to a business traveler wanting a quick resistance workout.
Our hotel installations focus on three things: compact footprint, intuitive operation, and hotel-grade aesthetics. We spec cardio machines with QR-code video tutorials built into the consoles, selectorized strength units that require no cable changes or plate loading, and multi-purpose stations that combine multiple functions in one footprint. Finishes matter here — we offer custom color-matching to hotel brand standards, from champagne gold frames to matte black powder-coats that complement marble lobby floors.
A typical 40 m² hotel gym from RONNIE includes 4-5 cardio units (treadmills, ellipticals, and cycles with low noise profiles for floor-above guest rooms), a multi-functional cable station, a set of adjustable dumbbells 2.5-25 kg, a bench, and a stretching zone with mats and foam rollers. We design the layout so that a housekeeping cart and a guest using a treadmill can pass each other without awkward shuffling, and we provide QR-code maintenance cards so hotel staff can troubleshoot basic issues without calling a technician.
Boutique Studios
Boutique studios are the heart of modern fitness culture. These spaces are defined by their identity — HIIT, Pilates, boxing, functional training, spin — and every piece of equipment must reinforce that identity. There is no room for generic gym equipment that looks like it was pulled from a big-box fitness club.
We work with boutique founders from day one. Our approach is collaborative: we learn their training methodology, their class flow, their brand colors, and their budget, then recommend equipment that matches all three. For a HIIT studio, that might mean heavy prowler sleds, plyo boxes in branded colors, kettlebells in custom gradients, and a timing system integrated with the sound system. For a Pilates reformer studio, it means spring-loaded reformers with adjustable foot bars, tower units for wall work, and chassis that match the studio interior.
Boutique operators care about aesthetics as much as function. Our OEM and ODM capabilities allow us to produce equipment with custom branding, unique colorways, and proprietary designs that no other studio in the market can replicate. We have executed projects with brand logos laser-etched into barbell sleeves, signature colorways on upholstery and frame accents, and even custom storage racks designed to double as wall art. The result is a studio that feels curated, not commoditized.
Corporate Fitness Centers
Corporate wellness programs have become a key differentiator in employee retention, and the on-site gym is the flagship of any wellness initiative. Corporate fitness centers serve a wide demographic — executives in suits who sneak in a lunchtime workout, warehouse staff who need functional strength equipment, and everyone in between. The equipment must be intuitive enough for beginners yet capable enough for serious athletes, require minimal maintenance, and integrate with the company wellness app for usage tracking.
Our corporate builds typically feature a balanced mix of cardio, strength, and functional zones. We favor self-powered cardio machines (no electrical installation required, which saves on build-out costs), plate-loaded strength equipment with clear instructional decals, and modular functional trainers that can be reconfigured as the corporate fitness program evolves. Many of our corporate clients also request inclusivity features — wheelchair-accessible machine entry points, low-impact cardio options for older employees, and changing facilities that comply with local accessibility standards.
Because corporate facilities often operate without dedicated fitness staff, we provide detailed equipment maintenance schedules, spare parts kits, and remote troubleshooting support. Our equipment is designed with sealed bearings, self-lubricating guide rods, and tamper-proof fasteners that reduce the need for on-site service calls. The average RONNIE corporate installation has a first-year uptime of 98.7% with only routine cleaning required.
Featured Projects
1. Grand Horizon Hotel — Bali, Indonesia
The Brief: A 5-star beachfront resort needed to upgrade its existing 25 m² fitness room into a wellness hub that matched the caliber of its spa, restaurant, and infinity pool. The brief demanded whisper-quiet equipment (guest rooms directly above), tropical-humidity-resistant materials, and a design that opened to the garden rather than feeling like a windowless basement.
The Solution: RONNIE supplied 8 cardio units with marine-grade stainless steel frames and sealed electronics boards to resist salt-air corrosion. We installed low-noise treadmills with a decibel rating of 58 dB at 12 km/h — quieter than a normal conversation. The strength zone featured our Selectorized Line in custom champagne-and-teak finish that matched the hotel’s lobby aesthetic. Floor-to-ceiling folding glass doors replaced the front wall, and the mirror layout was angled to reflect the garden rather than the equipment.
The Result: Guest satisfaction scores for the fitness center rose from 3.2 to 4.7 out of 5 within the first quarter. The hotel reported a 22% increase in fitness center utilization and featured the remodel in its 2025 luxury amenities brochure. Equipment uptime after 14 months: 99.8%.
2. Pulse HIIT — London, United Kingdom
The Brief: Pulse HIIT was launching their third studio in Shoreditch and wanted a distinct visual identity that would make every class Instagrammable. The founder, a former competitive CrossFitter, wanted the equipment to withstand 16 high-intensity classes per day — roughly 95 hours of weekly abuse — without cosmetic degradation. The total floor area was just 108 m² for a training zone that needed to serve 28 members per class.
The Solution: We built a fully custom equipment package: 28 sets of color-matched bumper plates in Pulse’s signature magenta-and-charcoal palette, a custom rig system with pull-up bars, ring mounts, and storage for band pegs and battle ropes, and heavy-duty plyo boxes with branded silk-screened logos. The rig was finished in matte charcoal with magenta accent bolts — a detail that became a signature visual across the brand’s marketing. Every barbell sleeve was laser-etched with the Pulse logo. We also designed a space-saving wall storage system that kept the floor clear during transitions between class blocks.
The Result: Pulse HIIT Shoreditch reached capacity in week two and has maintained a 94% monthly retention rate — significantly above the industry average of 68%. The custom aesthetics were featured in four fitness design publications, and Pulse has commissioned two additional fit-outs with RONNIE for their Manchester and Berlin locations.
3. Nexus Corp Wellness — Shenzhen, China
The Brief: Nexus Corp, a multinational technology firm with 8,000 employees on its Shenzhen campus, wanted an on-site fitness center that could serve everyone from C-suite executives to assembly-line workers. The brief called for a 600 m² facility with cardio, strength, functional training, and group exercise zones, plus integration with the company’s wellness app for booking classes and tracking usage. The budget was aggressive, and the timeline was 10 weeks from sign-off to opening.
The Solution: RONNIE managed the full fit-out as a turnkey project. We supplied 32 cardio machines (all self-powered to avoid electrical trenching costs), 18 selectorized strength stations, a complete free-weights area with 900 kg of rubber-coated plates, and a functional training zone with modular rigs and battle ropes. The equipment was configured with NFC tap-in sensors linked to the Nexus wellness app — employees could book a treadmill, check real-time availability, and log their workout data from their phone. We color-coded each zone (blue for cardio, orange for strength, green for functional) with equipment accents and wall graphics to make navigation intuitive for first-time users.
The Result: The facility opened on schedule and under budget. Employee engagement reached 37% of the campus population within three months — the highest utilization rate of any Nexus corporate wellness initiative globally. The company reported a 12% reduction in sick leave claims among regular gym users within the first six months and has since expanded the concept to their Bangalore and Austin offices with the same RONNIE spec.
